Just realized something passing a 6th gen in traffic.

There’s no more amber turn signals in the rear!

(Literally undrivable)

 

Amber turn signals should be a requirement, across the board.

 

Bought a 24 fifth gen new. I didn't have an opinion one way or another on the new 6th gens. Stopped in to grab some oil filters at the dealer. Took the time to test drive the new 6th gen. I'm shocked at the back seat interior configuration. No camping back there, no bike storage. The dash screen is enormous, takes away the driving experience. Good news for those shopping! They are offering tremendous deals on them. Large inventory, few buyer. I'm sure lots of you are very happy with the 6th gens. I just couldn't wrap my head around the new configurations.

That’s interesting. I just checked cars.com for my area and there are a quite a few used 2025’s for sale.

 

Since the 6th gen so expensive they are being bought by a different crown than 5th gens. The 4runner has reached a new level of clout. People who buy 70k cars usually drive them for a year or two.

 

Most of them seemed to be SR5’s though.

Update, chatted with the MacDonald Dealership in Greeley. They are taking the minimum unit amount as required as Toyota. Nothing is moving.

 

That’s good. Hopefully they drop the prices to reasonable levels.

 

I just did a search on used 2025 Bronco's, Jeep's, 4 Runners, etc. All have plenty for sale already. We live in a disposable society...

It really is sad. I had someone tell me my newly purchased 4th gen v8 was "outdated" and I should trade it in for a 5th gen no older than 2020. What the heck!!!? I'm 16 and on my permit and he thought I should be making payments on a 2020 instead of owning a 2003 outright?

 

A guy at our church has a 6th gen hybrid and really likes it. Says he likes it better than the 5th gen but whishes he could still buy a new 4th gen v8.

 

So now 4Runners are on the same level as Fords and Jeeps? Yikes.

 

Didn’t a lot more jeeps and broncos get built than 4Runners though?

disregard that persons nonsense, 03 V8’s are beloved. 2020+ comes with lightyears more tech that is simply unnecessary in my opinion. my first and only two vehicles before 4R had no power locks doors or windows, manual trans no AC

I wish they made a V8 manual!

 

^You don't want the 6-speed Toyota was using at the time: throttle hang, premature wearout of the clutch throwout bearing quill, worse gas mileage than the auto... And imagine relying on the piece of shit parking brake to hold your 4Runner on a grade.
