Don't worry about it. We're all looking for OEM fit without OEM prices. Someone has to take the leap or we'll never find success.

I didn't mind at all, and I was supporting a local business. Frankly, I already ordered the replacement OEM grille, and with all that said I'm still saving $100 or so. I'm okay with that.

Hey thanks for the post and sharing, really appreciate it! Almost bought one of these until I read your post. Probably biting the bullet with OEM at this point.

For sure. The garnish is the biggest savings, so if he sells the garnish by itself ever, I recommend it. Otherwise, avoid the hassle.

    All of them.
This was my thought process as well. The upper is cheap it’s the garnish that kills most folks. If the gap is good on the cheaper one then buy it toss the upper and order the oem one.

Does anybody know if you can get the garnish without any letters? I'm installing a bumper and the bull bar goes right across the letters so I don't really need them, however on the 2020, the upper grill looks awful IMO and I'd like to change it out for the look of the previous years.

So I got the grill from China it look really good. I still need to cut down bottom garnish and have it professional paint. 75$ cant beat it. it sure look better than OEM after painted. I also have it paint everything in black including front and rear lower bumper trim so they match perfectly. $500 OEM I can have this matched paint for less than that. Update pics coming...

Sorry too busy with work forgot to upload pics. The gaps are noticeable on the side but not as bad. I am happy especially painted all black including the bottom valance. I would not plastic dip this, I feel in a couple of years they will peel. Got this professional paint come out super great. Here are pics, if you have a question I will try my best answer.

I had a hard time getting the upper grille cover to lineup with the lower grille cover (the painted outside trim). Anyone else?

A question guys: Can you purchase the TRD-PRO grill parts from the Toyota dealer ? Or is it prohibitively expensive ?

100% man. this entire thread however, is about finding cheaper alternatives. with shipping, for the two pieces you need, you're looking at between high 400s to low 500s. we all looked at alternatives that set us back between 100 and 200.

OK. Thanks so much for your response. Yes, $500.00 is a bit hefty for two pieces of plastic.

I recently purchased the 2020 version from cartrimhome. Loos great. The upper grill piece is awesome. The lower "garnish" piece doesn't seem to fit so well. Its like the curve of it doesn't match the curve of the piece it covers on the bumper and it also doesn't seem tall enough. It feels like it needs to be a 1/16to an 1/8 taller so it wraps around properly. The problem I'm having is the ends don't seem to want to stick and the bottom is loose on the ends. I'm thinking of pushing it in and just putting a black screw up from the bottom to hold it in. YOu'll never see the screws unless you bend down and look up from below. Any other suggestions?

Hi! New to Toyota, new to a 4Runner, and new to using forums! I hope I’m doing this right.... I am picking up my new Venture at the end of the month, and the first thing I want to do is swap the grill out for the PRO grill. Reading this, I am wondering if anyone has any more recent updates for the 2021 model. Seeing the link to the China (Ali Express) is no longer available. Not wanting to pay for OEM.... but wanting to make sure it’s not too difficult to find a good looking replica.

Has it been determined (regardless of cost differences) which of the aftermarket garnish pieces has the best fitment, and the least gap on the sides?

Another question - has anyone color-matched this garnish to their truck's color vs painting it black? I might consider doing this if I could match the MGM color and clear coat. With the silver letters, this could look great.

Give it some time before you wanna decide on PRO grill. I had it for a few weeks. I think I like the non PRo grill now. Once I put the Victory 4x4 bumper I think I will remove the Pro grill garnish.

I tried to do the same, but I decided to modify mine (and the scoop). Both look nice, the non pro has that classic look that I can understand people liking, but for me after days of study I have concluded the pro version looks the best if you wan that aggressive look.

One of the problems I have is also the chrome, which as some has said already should have been blacked out on the venture edition (since all the rest of the chrome was). I'm also replacing the scoop with the pro blacked out version (which I also think should have been blacked out), I think it will compliment the whole look pretty good.

I know its a different topic but I noticed online the venture has a black rear valance but they don't sell it like that...I think that would look good to...

Right on if you like it then get the Pro, someone like me not liking after few weeks then a waste of time doing all the work because I was in a hurry fell in love at first sight then not liking at the end. So I just wanna point out to people to give it sometime before pulling a triggered like me and changed their mind. Give it sometime that you know that is what you want by all means Pro looks damn good, that's exactly what I want in the beginning.

I have been on the fence about getting a XP Package with the Pro Grill from a dealer down south. I am not handy to put in a grill like that. My concern is though buying a new 4R have shipped up to Michigan and then have an issue and no dealer want to help out. I have never put this much though into buying a car/truck but it is sort of fun.

I am thinking of staying with a stock Silver ORP, just need to pick a running board. I need a running board when I take my father out. I am torn between the OEM black board that has all the ovals near the top; or the one with anodized aluminum trim. I only saw one at a dealer with the ovals on the board and maybe its just me but it did not seem as strong/stiff as the anodized aluminum board. Decisions decisions.
