    These days, thieves will drill a hole in your gas tank to drain the fuel making a locking cap useless to stop it…. I had the same Stant cap with the same result requiring a trip to the dealer to reset the codes. I’ve added a gas tank skid to my armor thinking that may slow down a thief (and protect the tank)….
