We are trying to fix the front nose dive while braking. Ordered Bilstein 6112/5160 shocks with the 600 lb/in front coil springs.

I am trying to figure/find out what the stock springs are rated at to give me a reference if the #600 will be a decent upgrade. Called Toyota parts, service - a number of 4wheel shops and no one seem to know what the stock spring is rated at.

I have read many posts stating the stock springs are anywhere from 500 to 560, but seems like no one knows for sure.

Does anyone know what the stock springs are rated at?

    Thanks for any replies.

    No one knows for sure.

The best info I've seen claims 589lbs for SR5 and OR trims and 550lbs for the Pro trim.

Springs are not the only factor when it comes to nose dive, however.

The soft valving of your stock Tokico shocks play a huge role and the firmer valving of your 6112's will reduce the nose dive significantly. Many people who have replaced their stock shocks with firmer aftermarket shocks and kept their stock coils can testify to this.

The 600lbs spring paired with the digressive valving of the of the bilstein shocks will be on the stiffer/firmer side. Should improve nose diving and your handling by a long mile though.
