    Wow! That's awesome!

Just know you have to put 91 octane in there to keep the supercharger happy.

That makes me feel real good about my purchase. I felt I was getting a good deal, just looking at it on the lot.

So it was first listed at 33k, someone started a deal, backed out because they didn't like the wheels. The dealership had dropped the price to 32 before I found it.

Alpine Head unit, plastic protector still on. Was told he had it in for 4 days before he traded in.

You got a heck of a deal. Put some new wheels on it and you could sell it for $5k more than you bought it for.

With that supercharger, if you found the right buyer, you might be able to parlay that into a brand new SR5 with not much more money out of your pocket.

So this makes me think, the previous owner traded that 4Runner in which he most likely got back probably around $26K for it. Just a guess, could be more or less. But regardless, he spent some good coin on that rig.

So what are you plans for it? You can do a TRD Pro front end conversion if that’s the look you are going for.

Our plans are to drive cross country in a month if things are open enough. After we return, we will reevaluate, but it’s the wife’s ride. This does however allow for more to be done to the paid off 17 taco sport now. That is once I get used to the larger payment.

The former owner, service manager, bought less than 2 years ago, when he worked at Toyota dealership. There was some shit that went down, one of the owners got removed. This owner bought the local Chevy dealership while the company he was just removed from was trying to. He was able to do it, because he had been working the deal and it’s believed he was removed for pointing out some bad money stuff. I know this because, I work with the wife of one of the big sales guy at the Yota dealership.

So, this service advisor and others have left the Toyota and following the owner over. He traded in for a Caddy. He basically told me they had they no idea what they had to sell.

Well nonetheless, it worked out in your family’s favor. Your wife is very lucky and I’m sure she’ll enjoy that beast of a rig.
I love hearing hard working folks getting the better deal at car dealerships. It’s usually the other way around. A good majority of car salesman are sharks. Not all, but most of them.

I feel very very lucky, it so fell in to my lap. We were looking to buy a vehicle 6 months or so ago, but need to replace the clutch in the Outback (son has permit and will drive) and that put stuff off. The other day I was looking at renting for the trip, couldn't find what I wanted (4runner) so, what if we bought a used. First one on the list, showed it to the wife and explained that we would spend thousands on a rental, why not consider that money a loss on this. The rest is credit history.

fantastic deal. I have been looking for a 2018-2020 all over New England and that 2018 would run between $32-$35K. That turbo charger is a rare beast. and Being a limited makes it that much more luxurious. Your wife will love it!

Got my first needed mod, I need to find bigger mud flaps. I noticed splash from the tire dressing they put on them to sell. Any ideas or suggestions

Get the tire sling cleaned off ASAP. From the paint and the tires. That stuff can stain the paint permanently.

I just checked Road Blocks, it doesn’t look like they have some for the 18 limited. Is there some difference in the limited versus all the other runners?

Could be. The Limited trims have a lower hanging side trim that might affect it.

Take a few photos of the wheel wells where I can see the mudflaps. Front and back, so about 4 photos should do it.

Limited rockers hang lower. Just rip them off and replace with TE rockers and you’ll have a wider selection of sliders.

I think finding the right mud flaps will be a bit cheaper.
