    Hey everyone,

I am trying to refresh the look of my '96 Runner.

And I toyed with the idea of getting projectors installed...

And I have always liked the look of the new headlight/running lights of the 2016's.

So naturally, now I want to attempt to put the 2016 housing on my '96 Runner. (No need to tell me I'm crazy for trying)

Does anyone know if this is doable/been done before or if I would be changing out my entire front end?

They're pretty much plug and play.

Really??? I assumed that the shape of the newer housing was way different than the older ones!

I think they are just messing with ya bud. My Mom always told me anything is possible but I'm not sure it applies here. Unless you are a god at body work and fabrication...

Yes sir, I was thinking the same on the previous reply's.
I've not had the opportunity yet to see how much room there is in a 1996 4runner headlight.
I realize the question was on how to mount a different light and make it work, but I'm thinking a reasonably priced HID projector retrofit would be much easier.
