Been looking for a Tacoma or 4Runner and came across this 2015 Trail with 118K miles for $23,294. Clean CarFax and two previous owners in NH each averaged 18-19K miles per year. Anything specific I should look for or common upcoming repairs I should be aware of? Assuming no issues, is this a good deal and/or safe buy at this mileage? Thanks!

If it's from New Hampshire, I'd be concerned about frame rust. I'm pretty certain they salt the roads or use that brine solution. Price still seems a bit high to me, but I'm no expert on pricing. If you have to ask, then you need to do more research.

Have the dealer take photos of the frame and do a VERY detailed walkthrough.

Agreed with frame rust. Check for any disguising of it with over spray marks if they are trying to hide any rust

Sorry, I should have clarified a little more. I'm from MA and used to own an 09 Tacoma, so I'm familiar with the frame rust issues. I'm just not familiar with any issues that may be common or specific to the 5th Gen 4Runners with relatively high mileage.

Thanks for the feedback though, always appreciated!

Price isn't terrible if no rust.

Got it. Roll with it then. No real known issues with 5th gens at that mileage.

Looks pretty safe if you can verify everything.

Ah well, seems I got the usual runaround anyway. "Yep, it's still available. When can you come in to check it out?.... Oh, sorry it's actually sold already."

Update: Other offer fell through and the dealer just sent me these (not overly useful) photos of the frame. I know I would need to actually take a look in person (unless they provided some better pics).
