2014 SR5 running boards

I have a 2014 SR5 and looking at running boards I like. But it says they fit the following. Compatible with Toyota 4Runner 2010-2013 SR5 & 10-24 Limited & 19-24 Nightshade Edition. Is there a difference between a 2013 and a 2014 that these running boards wouldn't fit??

If those are made for the models you listed, you wouldn't want them on your 2014 SR5. All those other models have rocker panels that hang down considerably lower than yours. If you mounted them, there'd be a pretty good gap between the step and the bottom of your rocker trim panel.

2014 was the first year of the SR5 having rocker panels like the Trail model.

Ok. Thank you very much! I'm new to this truck. Just got it and put a 3 inch lift with bigger tires and new wheels and am looking to customize more stuff. I'll have to do some more research.

The steps look the same as your initial post. It would be the mounting brackets that would be different.

 

So the mounting brackets on these would bring the running boards up closer to the rocker panels? What's the difference between my SR5 and a trail model

No difference at all as far as the rocker panels.

If anyone sells steps compatible with 2010 SR5, all years Limited & Nightshade, they will have mounting brackets that a!low the steps to hang down lower.
