I want to change up the look of my ride. I did a level kit and larger tires last year, but want something more. I have all the stock chrome trim on a white 4Runner with stock alloys. I was thinking of changing these, but not sure of the what color to go with. Vinyl wrap kits seem reasonably priced and can be pulled off. I thought of plasti-dip, but have seen mixed results.

Keep going back and forth between a matte black, or matte gunmetal color. I would also do the center, lower portion of the front and rear bumpers.

I can't seen to find decent pictures of this being done on this gen. Can you share yours? Specifically white 4Rs.

    Thanks

So mine's been through a few versions. Initially it was the stock Sport Edition dark chrome:

Then I bought a color matched grill from a Limited and Plastidipped the center part black:

Then I bought a grill that was all black with chrome TOYOTA lettering (which I still have in my garage):

And now I finally have what I originally wanted, a mesh grill with an OEM white Land Cruiser TOYOTA emblem which is perfect (well, at least from 5' feet away):

(Sorry I don't have a better picture of my current grill.)

I like the silver/black combo. Making the whole grille black makes it look more like a pig snout. LOL Maybe it's the squared off look of the aftermarket grille compared to the more streamlined look of the OEM.

Maybe I will take a few pix and play with them in a photo editor, trying different colors. I was leaning toward gunmetal grey. I was recently parked next to a white sport edition that had the silver roof rack and thought about turning everything silver vs. chrome.

I am actually debating doing exactly that. I still have the Limited silver grille, so I would just need to cut out the center part and then install the mesh from my current grille.
