Hey all, so I'm by no means a mechanic and have very limited knowledge about cars. That being said I've driven a 1997 automatic 4Runner for the past 8 years (hoping to go 10) and recently had my differential blow out. I'm looking to replace it myself and my question is; is the differential from a 1992 V6 extracab Tacoma compatible with my 1997 V6 automatic 4Runner? Any help is much appreciated, and again I'm new to all this but am looking to do this work myself.
    Thank you
    -Pat

Tacoma whip, 99 console box, tru trac., steering wheel, PWMS and HVAC control out of a 99.
the rear differential is compatible. just need the carrier gasket, inner axle seals, and some oil.
