    Those parts will work with the wing windows. Mine has them too. The weatherstrip for the wing windows is discontinued. Parts are getting very hard to find for 1st gen 4Runners.

    Thinking of the new tires/wheels. I was considering going with Dick Cepek DC-2 15x8 and Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 31x10.5.

    What's everyone's thoughts/opinions?

    Since you're doing such a nice resto, my vote is for a nice set of OEM 15x7 alloys. The four spoke ones that came on the SR-5.

    P.S. Have u considered painting the top black? I think it would contrast nicely with the gold. Either way I commend u for bringing this classic back to its former glory. Great job!

    That's a very good point with the OEM style, the reason I was thinking of going with the Cepek's was simply price OEM's are very expense. But, I will search further and see if I can't find something more doable.

    I was thinking at first of doing the top black, but though that with the side pillars being black that it might kind of mush together.

    Just got these in from the painter.

    Wow that looks fantastic! Check Craigslist. I always see em there going for between $100-$200 a set depending on condition.

    My friend has a gold metallic '85, he found a set of factory chrome steelies and they look sweet with that paint. It's not as clean as yours will be soon.
