How many people have done the conversion? Saw this one on here but haven't seen many people do it I think it looks good.

33"KM2s, 4.88s, Spartan Locker, TG rear bumper, AllPro Kickout sliders, 4Crawler 1.5" BJS, OME 2" Dakar springs.
    That's actually a 3rd Gen Hi-Lux grille on a 1st Gen 4Runner.

    Thanks. Didnt realize that. Always thought 80-83 was 1st, 84-88 2nd, and 89-95.5 3rd.

It could be considered a 3rd gen grille depending upon whether or not the Stout is considered the 1st Gen. Some say yes, some no. :notsure:IMG_2645.jpgStout (first gen?)IMG_2646.jpg1st gen Hi-Lux 68-72 IMG_2647.jpg2nd gen Hi-Lux 72-78IMG_2648.jpg3rd gen Hi-Lux 79-83IMG_2649.jpg 4th gen Hi-Lux 84-88

So far I like them. Light spread is a lot better than the stock halogens

Hey Man looks great! I was thinking about doing this conversion as a friend at work has an '82 pickup and wants to swap grills with my '88. What did you have to do to make it work? Have any pictures of the install?
