    Hello, Everyone!

A friend of mine has a '95 4x4 with a manual trans. It was at just over 330k miles when he got a rod knock and blew the motor.
The car has been sitting for a while due to financial reasons but he finally came up with the funds to buy a new engine for it that we will be picking up Tuesday and swapping in whenever we can get the old one out.

I'm new to the world of 4Runner's so could any of you guys let me know any tips or things to look out for?

    -Thanks!

Is it a 3.0? I have a wrecked 92 pickup and the motor has a little s than 100,000. I would sell the motor. If you need the transmission I would make you a great deal. I need to replace the head gaskets in my 85 4Runner

Well. It's not my money to spend haha. My friend has already scheduled to go pick one up and it's relatively local to us but I appreciate the offer! Just looking for advice:)
