    First update for 2022!

We had another beautiful weekend in Oregon and was able to get the truck outside to finish up some body work. There is still some aditional spots to repair but not having shot high build primer on it they're easier to see.

Judging by what it looks like now I will block sand and shoot another round of high build to make sure the pannels are straight. The trucks been apart so long that I have forgotten where all the interior trim pieces go so I am shooting paint as far as i can go.

Was able to get the rest of the body shot with high build primer this weekend. Everything is looking pretty good, I also cut out the clearance for the intake plenum since I don’t want to put anybody lift on the rig.

This week I will start all the block sanding to get the panels straight and the body lines back.

Super busy weekend but it finally paid off. I was able to take it for a spin around the block too. 0CDBB912-98F7-4EDC-B7E6-D8E723D93F38.jpg3FE1B824-7BF3-4364-9783-BBDA494A9AE3.jpgB7382F78-7677-4C71-921F-349BEE996CD3.jpg

The reassembly has gone a lot smoother than expected I am currently in the process of tightening up some loose ends. I am also super glad I have the 97 to pull bolts from and exchange parts that were worn out on the 87. It’s helping the rig be a little cleaner than it was when I bought it. Waiting on some special Toyota clips for the b-pillars and coil packs to get it running smooth. The final wirig for under the rig are the reverse and 4th transmission switches.
Also reassembling the tailgate and rebuilding all the internals (window heater, key switch, motor, sound deadening, etc.)

Almost a month of driving it and couldn’t be happier. Working out all the little kinks but am super happy I got the rear window working properly with all the switches. The relays are a pain but if you read enough other threads it makes sense.

I’ve got about 10k miles on the swap with only a couple minor issues. Main one had to do with lack of a Cat and the O2 sensor going off on road trips. I found an elbow and micro cat to put in line of the 02 sensors and haven’t had problems since.
