    @Tooly
They look nice with the bronze cap! Thanks for the idea !
The newer ones are "flow formed" and supposedly lighter then the older style. The ones I bought are the SEMA 17"X8" which have the exact same markings as the 17x7's . I weighed mine and they weighed 22lbs 1 oz each compared to the 29 lb + stock TRD ORP ones.
Anybody have weights comparing. The tires are 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers green11.jpg

If you wanted to go with a wider wheel there is also these

    20210613_173137.jpg
They are Factory Style Wheels F246 and they are a 17"x8.5". I've had them for a little over a year or so now maybe longer and I really like them. They've held up really well and clean up better and easier than the stock TRD wheel it came with.

Old version on General Grabber AT2s 285s,, love mine and, personally, don't like the red circle around the red TRD on the new one.

Same here. Not a fan of the red circle at all.

How do you think those center caps would look on a Lunar Rock truck?

They are flow formed. (some call it rotary forged) They are NOT a true "forged" wheel.

What's the difference between those and the older version pro wheels?

The new PRO wheels are supposed to be somewhat stronger than the older cast PRO wheel.

I would be more concerned or mindful of the wheel construction if we were running low profile tires. The stuff that 99.9% of us do and the tires we run, I’d have a hard time being convinced that cast vs forged matters.

Millions upon millions of tacomas and 4Runners over multiple decades with cast alloy wheels… and I’ve never seen an OEM “wheel problem” thread on the forums? I mean there’s probably a thread somewhere where someone got a dud wheel and got it replaced under warranty. But I think the vast majority of us probably aren’t approaching functional limits.

The new ones are also made in Mexico vs the old ones are made in Asia somewhere. If that matters to anyone.

I'll also agree that a forged or flow formed wheel is more important with low profile tires. I have 19" forged wheels on my GTI but the rubber is only a 35 series so I need all the wheel strength I can get.

Hard decision! I just purchased the TRO pro wheels, but cannot decide on 265 Falkens with stock suspension or 285’s with 6112/5160 Bilsteins. I may get the 265’s but do not want to cut anything due to the rubbing. Would like to stay stock as much as possible. Decisions!

I’m running 265’s on Pro rims. Happy with the setup. Previously had 285’s which were nice too.

Do you see a benefit keeping the stock size? My concern is modifying to 285’s and regretting later…basically causing issue with factory items. I really use the truck as a daily family vehicle and carrying mountain bikes!

Minor, and I do mean minor, trimming to bottom of bumper at wheel wells.
We installed a Westcott lift kit.

These wheels have 106mm centre bore, and a 2021 ORP have 106.1mm centre bore. Will they fit just fine or do you need a hub ring?
