    Hey whats up!

    ***Update***
I bought my 2018 SR5 4Runner last week! Had to say goodbye to the first car I ever bought but it sure is worth it!! Cant wait to see where this takes me! pic posted below!

    ***************************************

So I'm in the market for a 4R (5th gen). Going to make the buy within the next week or so. However, I didn't have the best of luck with my old car. I didn't really reach out to the community. So before I zone in on one, I have a few questions:
    1. Have you had any problem with the transmission overheating on long trips? Reason I ask is because my current car over heats on the trip from Vegas to Southern California.
    2. For those of you with the SR5 (non trail or TRD model), have you towed any small boats? Have you had any difficulty with towing?
I'm sure I'll have other questions, but for now that's all I can think of.
    Thanks!
    -Rick :yay:

Welcome from Texas... I can't speak of any issues with mine in the 2 weeks I've owned it... No issues with the 2012 either...

Easy peezy... these things are solid... I tow a 19' open bow no problems... just watch the speed and give room to stop/turn. I do have an upgraded suspension tho.

How often do you flush/drain your transmission on these?

If your that concerned about it and if you do town a decent amount just follow the "severe conditions" schedule for changes. Should be plenty sufficient.
