On my 89 I wanted to be able to lower tire pressure at the offroad park as needed And quickly get back to recommended operating pressure on the trail..
Not that I was broke at the time, but, couldn't see buying what was on her already and not being used...
That would be the A/C pump..
I welded up a manifold bracket for in and out that would accept quality airline, wired a switch, had a pressure regulator inline to kick it off at adjustable pressures..
One thing I did carry with me is A/C pump oil...and whenever I used it I religiously added to not let it dry out..oil comes in a small neat metal screw top lid that fits in glove box.
Of all the mods I've done to date..it was the most questioned and how did u and can I do it on a jeep I'd ever heard..I had to say of course a jeep cant..lol..only the runner...
At 1500 rpm it would air 4 tires from flat to overfilled quicker than it took to get the hose out and plug it in...ended up scraping the 4runner and kept that pump for 15 years before forgetting in a move

I've seen it done a couple times, never on a Toyota though. Another option would be a CO2 tank.

    Have any pics?
