That is interesting! My old analog 88p took forever. Maybe it was just do for replacement? It would take nearly half an hour to air up my 34" (285/75/17) from 13-35 psi.

Regardless I'm with you on the size. The 88P is staying in the vehicle at all times but the 400P will be reserved for wheeling trips. It's a little too large to tote around at all times.

The AAA portable tire inflator works for me.

I have been running the Ironman air champ pro 5.65 CFM a couple of years now. I typically air up 33in tires from 18-20 PSI to 36-45 PSI depending on how loaded I am. Airing up is pretty quick 12-16 mins for all 4 tires and that’s doing it one tire at a time. Living in the desert I have aired up in 100 plus degree heat on a few occasions and running the BDR and other longer trails I have aired up and aired down multiple times in a single day with no issues.

I did just purchase the morrflate quad 4-tire hose kit so it might be even quicker going forward.

Same approach I take as well… I keep a compact Viair 85p in every vehicle in case of roadside emergencies, and have a Viair 400p that I bring with for offroad.
