I just bought a 2020 limited and hate how the stock wheels and tires set so far in. If I were to add the 1.25 inch spacers just for looks, and stick with stock wheels and tires, is it going to rub or hurt anything? I am also going to add the 1” corned spacers to the front to raise it a little, hate the rake the limited’s have. Thanks!

    Hi Treg-

This is a different direction than most of the Limited owners you'll run into here have taken, but to each his/her own ;)

Others may have additional info on this, but I can tell you that moving your stock 20" tires/rim setup 1.25" further out will likely result in the front wheel(s) rubbing in reverse at full steering lock. The reason I say this is based on my own recent experience of getting rid of my Limited's 20" stock wheel setup in favor of 17" TRD Pro rims with stock size 265/70-17 rubber...which is actually the same circumference and width as the stock 20" tire/rim setup. However, the difference is in wheel offset...the 20's were 15mm; the 17's were 4mm...so a difference of 11mm which is quite a bit less than what your 1.25" spacers will do. On my Limited, those 11mm difference does cause a minor rub when I'm backing up with the steering wheel under near-full lock in either direction.

Since you're talking about 1.25" spacers which would have your wheels extended out significantly further than the 11mm difference in my situation, my guesstimate is that your rubbing issue may be a little more significant. As an aside, I've personally never been a big fan of spacers to begin with on any of my cars--although I know others here are.

Sorry this isn't any kind of empirical response, but I think my logic is at least semi sound :)

    Hope this helps,
    Tim

I have 17in TRD Offroad wheels with 285/70R17 tires (with a lift). To my eyes it has a decent poke. Mrs not at home to take more pics.

My 2019 Limited Rub the fender well at the front and back only full lock when reversing. Easy to use heat gun and move the plastic in a bit when hot.. Many videos on how to do it.
