Hey, yours looks just like mine! I bought my 2024 Classic Silver Metallic about a month before you. Congrats and welcome.

 

Nice! I really like the way the Limited looks and drives. I know that’s a minority opinion.

Do we get to wear special hats?

 

Not necessarily. I purchased mine used with 30,800 miles. I saw an ad at a Land Rover dealership for an Off Road Premium so I went to test drive it. I told the dealer I would take it but on the way in to do the paperwork i saw the Limited in the lot. I said let me take it for a ride just for fun while you start the paperwork . I came back 15 minutes later and told him to write up the Limited. I thought it drove and rode better plus it had AWD and the wife may drive it occasionally making it a no think process in bad weather driving for her. Good luck and beautiful color. Enjoy.

Yes, the biggest reason I got a Limited for my wife is "no think process" fulltime 4WD. Even when I drive its so much easy to drive than other 4Runner without center diff on tight turns / u turns at my kiddos school . Lot more ground clearance than a GX460 makes me happy as well.

I do regret swapping the XREAS suspension for no valid reason as I like it more than other 4Runner suspension and GX460 suspension the way it handle rough roads / potholes.

On a plus side I'm very happy to have 17in TRD ORP wheels and tires. Having more rubber less likely my wife scratch the wheels.

 

Yeah I had 79 CJ5 and a couple of other vehicles with manual locking hubs back in the day and recall trying to show her how to do it. It didn’t go well. She has a Subaru now so easy transition. Ha ha.

 

I was thinking the same recently and even mentioned it here on this forum that I was going to swap out the xreas for no reason as well. I’ll hold off at least until the next boredom session kicks in.

 

I've owned a 2005 Frontier and a 2015 Wrangler JKU before this. I've steadily moved away from making modifications and instead purchasing what I want straight from the dealer - which is why the Limited was so attractive for me. I'm going to keep everything as is until it breaks and then I'll decide what I want to do at that point (including the tires).

The only reason I changed rims was because it was time for tires and I saw the 20” at $305 a tire plus installation it gave me the idea to switch rims to 17” because those tires were $208 each. I found rims for $400 for 5. So 4x20” tires are $1220 and my 5 rims with tires were $1440. A couple hundred more up front but now I have a better selection for tires and the 17’s are common and cheaper. Plus I’ve grown to like the way it looks which 17’s.

 

That’s the perfect time to do what you did! I think it’s the best approach. Get some use out of what you bought already before dumping money and throwing out new things.
