I'm thinking about leveling the front of my 2018 TRD Off-Road Premium with 115,000 miles by up to 2 inches. My goal is twofold: to improve ride comfort on some roads and achieve the leveled appearance I prefer. I'm considering the Bilstein B8 6112 Suspension Leveling Kit (part number 47-310025).

I recently visited an independent mechanic and a franchise tire shop. Both places confirmed that my shocks are still in good condition. They recommended replacing my tires soon, as they only have about 20,000 miles of tread life remaining.

According to my research, this Bilstein kit is compatible with vehicles equipped with the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS). However, I'm unsure how the lift will affect the X-REAS system.
I don't do off-roading but may go on 4x4 beach driving or regular camping. will I notice something deferent if the shop delete/remove oil pressure of x-rears , what are my options. Thanks in advance for recommendations.

Lift doesn't really improve comfort if you ask me. Always gets stiffer. But it looks 10x better and is worth the trade off.

Only 20k miles left? That shit would last me 2+ years.

You don't have XREAS you only have KDSS so go for it.

I have a 2022 4Runner ORP w/KDSS. I went with a 3” front and 2” rear lift. I used Bilstein 5100s all the way around, springs from Toytec, and SPC UCAs. Everything went on without any problems. I have 285/70/17 Michelin LTX M/S2 tires on TRD Pro wheels. No tire rub at all and I did not have to cut the bumper or body mount. It has a level stance, the ride quality is great, and I like the look.

I’ve had this setup for 2 years. I had the same setup on my 2020 4Runner ORP w/KDSS also for 2 years. I swapped all parts from the old one to the new one when I traded so the lift kit, tires, and wheels have about 4 years and about 15K miles on them. I do not drive it daily since I have a company vehicle so that’s why I have such low mileage.

I too do not do any serious off-roading. Some may call it a mall crawler but whatever. I like it and it fits me so it doesn’t really matter what someone else may think.
