Westcott Designs Roof Rack w/ Cargo Box

I am looking for information on the Westcott Designs Roof Rack.

I have a 2024 4Runner ordered, second one, and I am looking to put a cargo box on the roof, but want a high quality roof rack. I plan on doing the Westcott rack but am not sure that it is compatible with the cargo boxes I am looking at.

Currently, I am looking to get the Thule Motion 3 XXL Low or the Thule Vector Alpine.

My few concerns are the curve of the boxes, but also if their mounting system is compatible with the cross bars on the Westcott rack.

I would love to see some setups similar to what I am planning. I think Yakima makes a cargo box that will work as well.

I'd need to know how those mount to answer you. Also it may depend if you have the full size rack or the low version.

 

I just did this a few weeks back. Yes they will mount. A little tight getting the clamps under the crossbars but doable.

 

Looks like you also have the low version of the rack. OP, if you got the modular on the higher setting you should have no issue if it worked on the low as there would be even more room

 

Thule uses a claw-like system. Picture has a diagram of it. Instructions for the box says that it can grip 3.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches thick.

I can’t seem to find the dominations of the Westcott cross bars.
