Trying to get opinions about leveling kits. I don’t want to sacrifice the factory handling characteristics. Just for aesthetics.i might add it’s got KDSS

Cornfed spacer leveling kit. Really helps to alleviate nosedive, in my experience, as well.

Ditto the Cornfed spacer levelling kit. Did one on mine too and added KO2's at the same time. The people at Cornfed are in Branson and if you're anywhere near there, they'll do the mod in their shop. Here's ours after adding the Cornfed kit and the tires. Nothing radical. Subtle but noticeable update.

Cornfed has been best for me because they had the only option keeping XREAS intact. Had mine for 1.5 years now. 2”/1”. It’s not just a level because it adds an inch in the rear, but it’s been super good on road and off. Here’s a pic of it from today. IMG_7150.jpg

I like the rear bumper. Not sure why there are not more options like this for us that want some minimal lightweight steel protection.

That do not require cutting cross member or losing factory receiver hitch.

Agreed I had to go custom both front and rear to get the approach and light weight. 80% Offroad offers a nearly identical rear bumper.

Where did you source the front and rear "bumpers"? And I'm curious if they'll work on my 2011 Limited.

Op said he has KDSS which means he doesn’t need anything to prevent nose dive on braking, it takes care of that automatically. Re a lift, I would suggest Bilsteins and springs if you want an actual lift. I added 6112s and B8s up front with 5160s and B12s in the rear, 2.7” front with1.5” rear on mine and it not only rides great but looks it as well. Good luck with your quest.

[IMG] [IMG] Did Bilstein 5100's all around. Reused the factory springs and with the front shocks on the 3rd clip position, which is 1.88inches of lift if I remember correctly, truck was almost perfectly level. I ended up adding a 1" Cornfed spacer to the rear to prevent squatting with passengers or gear in the back. No squeaks or rattles. Far as I can tell it still rides factory. Did loose a little mpg but it is what it is.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Cornfed is the way to go. My son Chris (2016 Runner SR5)is a Cornfed dealer and if you live in the Charlotte NC area he does installations as well. Contact him here through DM or call him at (631)202-8245. He can answer any questions you have and set you up with what you need.

We put the RevTek 3/2 on ours. It has been on since new. We were not going to put a Elka shocks package on to find out we didn't like 4Runners (we came from a Tacoma) and have loved our 4Runner a lot! We do some off roading, nothing to severe and have decided to keep it long term, so maybe now get the Elka shock package? Spacer kits do work, but for suspension upgrades, shock packages would be a better choice.

I had a local fabricator use DOM steel tubing to make the bumpers. Rear is based very closely off a DIY design from a company called 80% Offroad. They only do them in HREW and I wanted DOM. Otherwise it would have been cheaper to buy their kit. It’s a good product if you don’t have a local fabricator, or even if you do. Somebody else just went with them, I think they have a special kit just for the limited bumper that is a little wider to fit. Remember to ask about that if you order from them. Front bumper was totally custom. 5EightOffroadFab is my local shop in Louisville, KY.

coastal Offroad makes a great kit, but it was a bit too heavy for what I wanted.

Beautiful Limited. Is that 275 or 285 rubber on the OR rims?

+1 for Coastal making great kits. Super happy with my bumper, very well engineered. They do also have a 1/4" aluminum option for those that want a lighter bumper.

Anyone that's interested in going this route, we have this group buy running with them now. 15% off of products with an additional 25% off of shipping possibility

KDSS is a minimal form of a disconnecting sway bay meaning it only lets the suspension more a bit more independently at slow speed. It doesn’t control dive or dampening. My 19 with KDSS has always nose dived while braking.

    Thanks a lot.
Currently 275s with 30,000 miles. First upgrade 2 years ago, so I didn’t think I could go bigger. Not sure what’s next either 285/75R17 (34”) or a 35x10.5R17.

Curious, which lift did you use? I bought the cornfed 2 front 1 rear setup, but have not installed yet. I'm curious if this is the same setup or not.

    thanks in advance!
