I posted in this forum Timing Time just in Time - this has prompted me to locate and correct some leaks I have - while I have to clean it up and see if I can pinpoint the source I’ve looked and yet have not found any info on the 5VZ-FE 4x4 Oil Pan removal procedure - I’ve found 2wd and other vehicles w same engine but since I’m new to Toyotas and 4 runners not sure how specific my search needs to be - any advice appreciated !

If you have pictures of the potential oil leak source, that would be helpful. A few things to check will be valve covers, oil pan, front main seal (while you're doing the timing belt), and rear main seal (will require transmission removal).

A UV dye with a black light will yield the best results in locating the leak.

You will have to wait on some responses for this, from people who have used it recently. It has been 20+ years since I've had to use something like that.
