I had the dealer put black decals over the chrome logos today. Wednesday I pick up new black powder coated roof racks. :)

Anyone change their exhaust pipe to black?

I am just loving this truck!

I took the chrome exhaust tip off and painted the rear pipe section with high temp paint. How much was the black roof rack?

@AZ4RNR It’s the same one you see in the pic, just powder coated black. I think it’s $275 to powder coat it.

@AZ4RNR Thanks for the tip on the exhaust. I’m not confident in my abilities to paint. :(

Thinking about the overlays for mine. Yours looks good with them.

@mynameistory You are right. I got them to throw it into the contract, but I was told it would be powder coated. The dealer told me I’d need a rental car for a couple days. When I called the service center to schedule, the guy who does is said it’s just a decal. It only took 15 mins. They are swapping out my roof rails for black powder coated rails.

@grayflare I highly recommend it! It looks much better.

I bought those blacked out lettering for my ride, but haven't gotten around to putting them on yet, hope it looks as good as yours do. And as for the black exhaust tip, I am wanting to switch my chrome exhaust tip to black too. Before my 18' TRD PRO Runner, had a 18' TRD O/R Premium which came stock with everything blacked out from the dealership and even came with a black exhaust tip which looked great, and can't wait to switch my over also. So I might check into just buying one from the dealership, yes it is more. But l don't trust myself either to paint it right.

I would, but the kit that you get from the factory uses double stick tape to be pressed on top of the chrome lettering. So I hope it last and a letter doesn't pop off while driving down the road one day, that would look tacky.
Check out this video it might explain what the process is:

I spoke to the dealer about powder coating the exhaust tip. They said I have to take it to a special shop to have it done. I’d have to leave the truck there for a couple days. I’m not so sure I”m up to doing that.

Please don't go to the dealer for this stuff, unless you like spending way more money than needed.

You don't have to leave the truck anywhere, the exhaust tip bolts right on/off.

Take it off and bring it to a powdercoat or ceramic coating shop. The exhaust tip is not functional, you can drive around with it off. You can even get rid of it entirely for more "stealth".

Or, Here is one for $23. Get some wrenches and allen keys, you can do this.

Bought the same black plastic ones but painted them OEM cement paint and it looks better than the basic black to blend in with the black panel 0FE41FF5-3951-463C-A0AA-8E3B106BBBD8.jpg
