Last year I replaced the fuel pump and filter as well as the throttle position sensor…this year it started throwing a lean condition code as well as almost dying…like limp home mode…I replaced the mass flow and both oxygen sensors and the fuel filter…sometimes it runs fine, then goes into this starving for fuel condition at which time the check engine light goes off…it’ll come back on when it’s running fine…could it be the ecu it’s a 2000 with 140k

Similar symptoms here and I’ve got mine narrowed down to a vacuum leak. Yours sounds very similar as I’m getting P0171 lean code. I checked fuel trim at idle and it runs about 15% then drops when under load. That is how I figured out it was definitely a vacuum leak.
I also changed the NON Toyota MAF along with A/F sensors, fuel regulator & fuel injectors. The MAF helped the most as it is somewhat better, but still present on warm starts. Not cold or hot, only when it sits for 15-45 minutes after running.

I put a hose on the fuel line to pump the gas out in case there was crap or water and I realized the pump only runs when I engage the starter…not in the on position
