    It's a long list...
You are welcome. Some of that is more tailored to the mid-5th gens (14-19MY) but I'm pretty confident that it's the same situation with the 20+. I wouldn't take it to Toyota, not for the price you will be charged for a few different lines of code in an ECU. First will be the part cost at $550, then the labor to put it in, probably 2 hours at lord only knows what hourly rate. You will end up paying through the nose. Sometimes patience pays off... Just wait until you can find a used BCM and swap it yourself then. Use the money for something else or another modification.

My 2023 SR5 has auto brights standard. I'd never driven a car with autobrights at night so they actually surprised me when I realized what they were. I'll be honest, they suck. I've had the truck for a few weeks now and the autobrights blind other drivers as often as they turn off. They have a very bad habit of flicking on for a half second as another driver is going by. Infact, a row of cars was passing me on a 2 lane last night, the final vehicle was a big semi. My autobrights decided it was time to turn on about 3 seconds before the semi passed me, I lit up his whole cab and could see him clear as day.

I wouldn't cry over not having them, probably for the best since you're not tempted to use a half baked product that's probably more dangerous than useful.

I’ve got the auto brights too. I was talking about just regular auto headlights. Where you leave them on auto all the time and at night your lights turn on and in the day they are off. Basically every car on the road has them now but with the 4Runner, at least my ‘22, you have to manually turn the lights on and off.
