Hi everyone! I just want to say it’s a thrill to be a new member of this forum! Love my 4Runner but want your guy’s honest insight on this topic I’ll be hopefully discussing with you. So I bought a brand new 2022 4Runner SR5 almost a year ago in magnetic grey metallic. I put a heritage grille on my 4Runner and ended up cracking the middle of the bumper from applying too much pressure..(dummy move on my part..) anyways I bought a brand new OEM bumper had it painted and this is the outcome.. I’m honestly not thrilled with the color because I see a more lighter, blueish variation of this paint they did when it seems like the 4Runner is more on the redder spectrum. Anyways I’d like to hear some insight from you guys and what you think. I showed the bumper to a local certified Toyota Collision center and multiple people agreed that it’s a different variation.. I know plastic components compared to a metal body panel will throw off a different color shade plus the angle of the part plays a significant role, but this seems like a different variant. I just don’t want people questioning if the vehicle was in an accident when it NEVER was. Even my original bumper is a different color at certain angles(red). Anyways here’s the pictures and I’ll post a picture of the original bumper at the very to show what it looks like in the sun. Maybe I’m going crazy and don’t realize it. The other last photo I included is a brand new grille surround I purchased and looks ways darker than the new painted bumper. Anyways any insight is greatly appreciated from you guys. TIA

Welcome, and congrats on the new 4runner!

I’m having a hard time noticing a difference through the pics.

A positive/negative of the 4runner front end, is that it looks kinda pre-crashed from factory :D So the angles can hide imperfections a bit, including color differences, since the angles all reflect back different shades.

If you just arent able to ignore shade differences, I’d suggest some offroading in the midwest or south. Tight trails with trees can give you enough pinstripes to draw the eye away from things like this ;):p
