05 Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Bracket Sapped

    The rear passenger side upper control bracket snapped off so the control arm was hanging. I cut the control arm and cannot find anyone to weld a bracket. Is the best solution to find another rear axle? Is the control arm really needed and will one be good enough? Also do not notice much yet without it but what can be expected? ty

    I hate to say it, but from the looks of things in those photos, this will be the first of several components that might bite the bullet...that's a lot of rust. :eek:

    Finding someone to assume the liability of welding anything on your truck with all that rust is going to be pretty hard to find.

    upgraded suspension, large all terrain tires
    rust. rust. and rust. that is a warning signal. I would go underneath, clean, sand, prime..and see how bad it is and could eventually be.
