I have cut the back compartment off all the way to the floor board and rewelded the back hatch in right behind the rear doors so it is a 4 door with a mini flatbed on the back and Lincoln locked the rear end
    Hey ya'll
My name is Kyle I have a 95 Toyota 4 runner with the 3. Slow v6. I picked this gem up for a couple hundred bucks from the auction held at the local tow company's impound yard threw a couple gallons of gas in it and it fired right up took it home and gave it a cleaning cause this rig was nasty to discover some cancer in the back quarter panels but all in all it was in pretty good shape for being a 95 lol. Well I bought this thing as a project because I am the V.P. of a local off-road group and we'll I was ready to start a wheeler project so..... Off to the auction I went. Fast forward a couple of weeks and my off-road group held a weekend event so I loaded the kids and the wife up and we happily joined in the festivities, unfortunately the weekend did not go as planned..... It ended up raining all weekend long and it turned the trails into snot and I slid sideways into I don't even know how many trees, by the end of the weekend I had 2 broken windows both front doors and the truck didn't have a single straight panel I wasn't too worried about it as it was no beauty contest winner before I got ahold of it, however the very last trail of the weekend proved to get the better of me as I slid down the hill and went grill first into a tree.... Thus starting the runner project. After towing it home in the trailer I began my year and a half running project I would do little things here and there but the very first one was to cut off the front bumper (cause it was mangled and shoved back into the front tires) straighten out the front fenders ( the best I could) and put pretty much a new front clip on all the way around including headlights and buckets well after that I went down to the local junk yard to find a couple of new windows but I found an entire running 4 runner that had issues but it ran beautiful it didn't go anywhere being as the auto transmission had been scattered across the freeway according to the owner but the motor for this truck only had 700 miles on it he had just put a fresh 3.4L into this third gen so I did some quick Google searching and was under the impression that a motor from a 99 would bolt and plug right into my 95 so I said sure why not I would like to buy the whole thing right here I figured I would use the parts off of it ( I was new to Toyotas at this point I didn't know the difference between 2nd and 3rd gens) so I took the original 3.0L bolted to a manual transmission, unblocked the tranny cause I like my 5 speed and changed out the flywheels and bolted the 3.4L ( came with an auto trans)into it's rightful home. Thinking this was going to be a pretty simple swap and then I would be back out on the trails in no time right? Boy was I wrong lol. This has been an electrical nightmare I have spent hundreds of hours going over wiring diagrams and schematics all because the harness from the 95 manual does NOT plug into the 99 automatic pretty much anywhere so I even took the wire harness out of the 99 donor rig along with the ECU and put the engine bay harness and main cabin harness into the truck got everything ran through the firewall and snugged into place except the wire harness again is for an automatic and I had put a 5speed trans on instead so I did some research and learned a couple of tricks I could do to bypass allot of the wires and eliminate the ones that I didn't need anymore I even learned how to repin the ECU and what I had to do to delete unnecessary components such as cruise control and ac and that blasted ABS module oh and the airbags ( again this is my trailered everywhere wheeler) so anything that was on it that I didn't need for the trail has been deleted the problem is that now my project sits in limbo because I can't find a complete wire harness and ECM for a 99 manual anywhere I have searched local parts stores I have searched for months online and I can't seem to find one anywhere so I really could use some help does anyone have one or know of where I can find these damn harnesses at? I need the main engine bay harness and the main cabin harness for a 99 3.4L V6 manual transmission 4x4

You’ve got to supply us with pictures of that gnarly beast. This is a fantastic opportunity for a “before and after” thread. Good luck and thanks for posting!
