2004 4.0 Starts then dies after a few seconds

I have a 2004 1gr fe and when I start the engine, it runs fine for 1-4 seconds and then turns off. There are no fault codes registered in the vehicle. Sometimes it may take 20+ attempts to get the truck to stay running, but once it stays on it is perfectly fine except for occasionally the vehicle will act like it is almost in neutral. For example, I can be driving 45 down a road and want to accelerate, but upon pressing down on the gas pedal, the engine will immediately rev to a very high rpm, but there is almost no power to the wheels. The only way to solve this is by pressing down on the as hard, in which case the car will shoot forward. Any help would be appreciated, I am stumped on what the culprit could be. I have already cleaned the Mass airflow sensor and checked all the ignition fuses. The car exhibits this behavior with the spare key as well so I do not think it is the engine immobilizer.

Had a similar problem, turned out my Mass Airflow Sensor. Maybe give that a clean?
