    I've never used the heatgun technique, but I would highly advise doing your research on the spray/rub on products. A lot of them look great for a few weeks and then end up looking worse then before you put it on. It forces you to keep applying it every few weeks or else.

    I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
    I used mothers back to black on my Tacoma for the bed rails and mud flaps. Worked pretty well but it was really oily so watch out on applying too much or getting it on the paint. Shortly after I changed waxes to one that didn't leave white residue on black plastic and just started waxing everything. The back to black did a better job but I was just able to cut one step out most of the time.

    For the black plastic bits nothing beats magic erasers. Then some 303 protectant.
    Just be careful around paint, they are slightly abrasive

    bilstein 5100's, wheelers coils, 17x8 level 8 mk6 much more to come
    +1 on magic eraser. I used it on my tacoma's fender flares and it removed all the build up
