Well time has come to do my Front wheel bearing(passenger side) in my 96 4 runner. Not to many good write ups out there. So as I do mine I will update this post with a Full write up. If YOU have any hints tips or other Post em up.

I hope to have full write up( w/ pictures) with part #s.

At first glance looks like ill be replacing these

So the day has come.... You will need ONLY the parts(Inner/outer oil seal & Bearing), above unless you waited to long and had a catastrophic fail then you best get everything. I suck at taking pictures during every thing but you should get the gist. I accomplished everything with a home made mount, 20 ton Harbor Freight press and few sockets and screwdrivers. Took 2 hours to make special tool(design and build) 30 mins to press everything out and 20 mins to put everything back in. If i had to do it again(and I will soon) I'd do it in 30 mins Total. So now picture time.

This is the Tool I created to hold the spindle while I press it out. I highly suggest you make something like this. A C-channel type something with clearance to allow the hub to be pushed down. Use the outer oil seal to make opening on the top, This will allow you to get in closer, if you done it like mine you should have all 4 dust sheild bolts sitting on metal. You will see it in action soon....

The beast. Packed with mud, grease and everything nice. (Not)
You will need to pop off the inner oil/dust ring(smaller of the 2) Use a hammer and flat head and run it on the outside till it pops off. Easy.
Then find a proper size Socket and start pressing. This will Be the most intense part, You will need the most pressure and you will hear pops and other noises but it will move. You need to press this entire middle out before you can work the rest.

Once you pressed the hub out the ABS/spacer & Bearing spacer will be loose like and you can pull them out with your fingers. Clean up up and set them aside.
    20161116_192610.jpg
Now flip it over and remove the OUTER oils seal same way as last one. Now remove the snap ring, Use a snap ring puller and get a 2nd hand to help lift out with a screw driver. Will spring a little but wont kill you. Now flip it over and go back into the press to press it out. Save your bearing once its out, grind down the edges a little bit and use it to press the new bearing back in.( i used a heavy plate till it was flush with the ring and use the bearing to push it in back past the snap ring. Then install the snap ring back into place.

Alright now you have the new bearing in place. Snap ring in and now you can put your new OUTER oils seal on. Just tap into place with a hammer around the edges. Now time to press the hub back in. Easy as it downs. Put it in place and start pressing it back in.
Now flip it all over and your ready to put the ABS/Spacer & bearing space back on. This will "smash" everything back together.
    20161116_202023.jpg
Now add your Inner Oils seal by using your old bearing to tap it on with a hammer... smack it hard.

And done, Go have a beer.

    Any questions?

Like i said, build you something to hold the spindle while your press out the hub. Rest is easy. Press from inside to out. Then do it all in opposite.
