I have a 90 model 3.0 4x4. Question is I have no power to fuel pump or gauge. I tired jumping on the diag box, B+ and FP. It sparks but the pump will not come on. Im assuming the pump locked up from sitting but would gladly try anything you guys may suggest. Thanks

I have the exact same 4Runner and I’m not much help figuring out how to jump the pump. When my pump died a few years ago I can tell you after looking and inspecting wether or not I was willing to do the job myself, I decided to let my mechanic tackle that one.

We went with the Aisin pump, not the cheapest option ! But it’s not a job I’d want to do, let alone pay someone else to do twice.

Get the best pump you can afford, all said and done my guy charged me $400 OTD. I was happy to pay for that one. IMHO this is one place you don’t want skimp on quality.

I’ve had to many friends cheap out on these and it never seems to work out.

Another question. If the fuel pump is bad would it make my gas gauge not work? No power to it either.
