    Monochrome everything. LED reverse lights.

There is no way anything with Jeep on it can last as long as any Gen 4 runner. Its too bad Car and Driver doesnt account for this. A jeep product might out wheel a 4runner stock for stock but theres no way id ever buy or lease one. My buddy has a brand new 2020 rubicon and the door hinges are already bubbling from rust.

I;m glad someone else agrees with me finally.
    Jeep quality is not good.
    Car&driver is a garbage magazine.

The SUV vs pickup truck is interesting. I completely agree with you on the usefulness of the SUV. In my case, it's great just for my dogs if nothing else. On the other hand, when I see a well set up pick up, I sometimes think those may be more useful. I like the idea of the bed rack with rtt on top, leaving all that space underneath for gear. I think the problem with the SUV is that unless you're very clever with your gear storage, by the time you have everything packed in there's not enough room left to sleep.

I've seen a few Gladiators in my area completely naked, no doors no roof, and I think that's just the coolest thing to be able to do in a pickup truck. If I were to choose, I would probably pick the JL version of it though, for the reason that you said of it being an SUV.

You're probably right on Toyota reliability, that's one of the main reasons I bought mine. It was six years old when I bought it, and I plan on keeping it at least 10. So I need something that's going to run well for the long-term. My biggest worry is living in New England, hopefully the frame doesn't rot out from underneath it first, haha. I have 107k on it, planning on hitting 300k.

I have to admit though, anytime I see a well-built Jeep it's definitely turns my head. To paraphrase James May, the Jeeps just "give me the fizz".

My inner child really, really wanted a JKU, but my adult sensibilities took over and I bought the 4Runner.

Okay, enough rambling. Sorry to divert from the original topic.

The tire conversation is also quite interesting because I'm currently shopping for tires.

Yeah, adding Pro wheels and grille is a very common mod. The only Pro feature that's not easily replicated is the unique color.
