How many watts and how many channels on this amp? What size speakers are you going to use? How many speakers are you planning on replacing? Do you want good, better or best? What is your budget? You got to give us some more information.

I put a "budget" system I'm my third gen. And it actually sounds pretty freaking good. I replaced all door speakers with pioneer g series speakers, pioneer head unit, planet audio 5 channel amp, and a shallow mount pioneer 10" sub. I have Hertz speakers in my Ford. They are a bit spendy but I really like them. Like grayflare said tho you need to give us more info. All depends on what you want. I have about 3k in audio in my Ford and about 400 in audio in my 4runner. All depends on what you wanna do....

Well from what you have said I would go with some Infinity Kappa series speakers. They will sound good without an amp and if you do go with an amp they will also handle that and sound even better. They are the upper line of Infinity but reasonably priced and in my opinion sound better than anything else in that price range. If you don't want to spend that much you can go with the reference series. If you want to get really serious let me know $$$$$$$$$. lol

If you plan on adding an amp in the immediate near future, then you can go with grayflare's suggestion of Infinity Kappa speakers. If not, I would not go that route as you will eventually damage your radio. All aftermarket radios are rated to work with a 4 ohm speaker. Infinity, along with sister brand JBL, are made as a 2 ohm speaker which is why they sound awesome on an amp. Most entry level speakers will work fine with head unit power. If you want better definition and sound, higher quality speakers and a comperable amplifier will be the way you will have to go.

The Kappas run 2.5 ohms, and if he runs two pair of speakers off each channel he will be fine (there are eight speakers) providing he runs new speaker wire. The Reference speakers are 3ohms which is Close enough if he doesn't want to replace all eight speakers and only drive one pair of speakers per channel. Other wise he can go with Kenwood speakers or any other equivalent speaker which admittedly would be easier if he plans on using the stock wiring.
