    SSO roof Rack
I just intalled an SSO Roof Rack and I am not to happy with the side rails cut out. They have burrs that you could easy cut your hand on. I know I can de-burr it with a file and then re-paint but I paid over $1,100.

My real question is am I being too picky or is this poor workmanship? I want to get the rear bumper and roof ladder from SSO and if my roof rack is poor workmanship than I am going to look elsewhere.
    Looking forward to your opinions

In my opinion that would be unacceptable.

Paying that kind of hard earn cash would be unacceptable to me; sounds like there QA/QC is dropping … I’m sure if you reach out to them they will send a replacement and cover shipping cost for both.

Looks like plasmacutting. Plasma is cheaper to own and operate than laser or waterjet, but you do have to carefully clean up the kerfs as they are very jagged. This should have been done thoroughly before powdercoating.

Cleaning them up and repainting won't be as robust as powdercoating. I'd ask for a replacement, or ask them to cover the refinishing.

Ive been waiting almost 3 months for mine, I swear, if it arrives like this I am going to be PISSED OFF.
I dished out the $ for this one after reading some good reviews on here, saying it was better built than some others,
I get lead times, but there is nothing to this damn thing. Cut the side rails, powercoat, ship.
If I wait 3 months for this, and it looks like what yours does, I am going to loose it.

Hello! It looks like some material was left on the side rail there, but no worries. We can replace the defected parts for you, we'll just need you to send in a notification to info@southernstyleoffroad.com with your order number so we can get a warranty order placed for you. We've also double checked our remaining inventory and works in process to make sure there are no more errors. Sorry about the issues and thanks for choosing SSO.
