Grease gun recommendation

I highly recommend the extended lock grease coupler.
I have mine on a rigid (not flexible) pipe on a "pistol" size grease gun.
Really helps with U-joints especially when under runner in driveway. I chalk the side of propeller shaft with zerk down facing ground.
I roll runner till I see the chalk-then crawl under and lube. I only do a single pump on sliding yoke.

 

So your grease gun uses the smaller tubes? How many times can you perform prop shaft maintenance on a single tube?

 

Egon recommends small tubes for smaller spaces, larger tube for larger spaces..... small tubes only yield single use, think prophylactic ... you have been well advised

An automatic grease gun helps to make the job a little less painful. I use Ryobi but pick your poison as far as brands go.


I've stopped using the regular couplers since they wear out and I waste a ton of grease. I just use a needle instead. Just depress the ball inside the grease zerk and pull the trigger.

 

I’ve used the needle tip on button head grease fittings. I had a vehicle that used them on the door hinges.

6000 psi?? I guess you can service your Caterpillar when you're not greasing your 4R drive shaft...

Lol hell I dunno, all I’ve ever greased is zerks for UCA’s and Outer Tie Rods.
