I trimmed mine and on one end I had a weird squeak/rubbing sound so I put some bilaterally cut pipe insulation on it and it's pressure fit into the wings of the bumper and now look more factory and helps protect the front end goodies akin to the intent of the OEM bumper...I'd trim it or fold it under for best results.

Got the new bumper on. I ordered some baja designs lights last night. I might also add a pair of piaa 510s in the middle

I appreciate the offer but I am trying the SAE/street legal ones this time since they’re replacing the factory fogs. Apparently they have a really good cutoff to keep from blinding other drivers

I have a pair of the DD SAE fogs, no worries I'm sure you'll enjoy the BD ones, they look awesome.

I started the process of LCA removal...only one sleeve that didn't slide out...OEM and salt free for the win! However, my lower Icon shock connection on both shocks are siezed...what a f'n disaster! I had to cut one of them out and refuse to wait for a rebuild on the remote resi Icons...the one bilt ive never had any issues with on any car, rust ladened or brand new, the shock bolt into the LCA! I was prepared for the LCA bolts to be the tough ones and they came out easy and still looked fresh! What can I buy, potentially local, that will work? Taco suspension? Do they lift a 4th gen a couple inches up front? Awwwe! Unexpected challenges make you, right?! :annoyed:

Well, I tried everything to get this bolt, that's supposed to slide out, to come outta the shock mount...air hammers, pipe wrench and impact to push it through, nothing has worked...I'm SO annoyed at that but what can I do...Ha! I have, however, supplied a fair amount of anti-seize on all metal on metal instances on the LCAs and will be doing the same on the new Icon 2.5 VS coilover I was forced to order...WAAAY more money than I wanted to spend...I was going to try the Ironman FC 2.4 coilovers but I'd rather keep the FSB for onroad driving my wife will be using the 4runner for...Oh well, prices sure have gone up since just last year, even! There's a 25% sale going on with Icon and I've been happy with the 2.5 IR VS coilovers on my Tundra, so I figured I'd try them for the 4runner...I hope to get this this week to throw them in, but that too, is outta my hands...more to come!

Just finished wiring in a 20in lightbar in my new bumper. I don't normally do any night wheeling, but since the bumper had a specific spot for it, I said eff it.

I ordered Bilstein 5100's and OME 885/895's... 91k and 21 years is good enough for factory suspension, right?

Another option is to remove the entire bearing and replace new bearing, clip and misalignment spacers.

True on the bearing replacement...one thing I've learned with remote reservoir suspension is they require WAY more rebuilds and money than I have time and value to do so on...I went with a new set of Icon 2.5 VS coilovers...I'm REALLY hoping they show up this week so I'm not down and relying on others for rides! :p Either way warranted waiting...so I opted to spend more with "less time" for installation...We'll see how she shakes up!
