For you guys who don't know, @Roostfactor over in TW is making equal length y-pipes for the 1GR.
    Linky https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...pe-for-2nd-gen-tacoma-t4r-fj-cruisers.578228/

I have the first 5th Gen install and @Lucario Runner has one on his 4th Gen. Tons of info on the first post and if this is something for you, contact him. Quality is first rate and I could not be happier!

The following are installed showing the clearance at various points.

There is great clearance at every vital point. The only concern on a 5th Gen T4R is with a flex, cat and resonator, there is not a lot of length back to the muffler so we cut down every piece to save as much length as we could. Roost did an awesome job and put a piece of pipe beneath every connection from the flex to the resonator for structure. I have the Thermo-Tec to place over the tranny and where the wires to come out for the inverter but don't show it here.

I just love the way is sounds and the throttle response is excellent as well and the overall increase in drivability, especially being NA.

Click the link, Roostfactor has it all laid out. Shipping is dependent so you will have to PM him for that.

Based on how the driver side pipe crosses over under the transmission pan this would most likely be easily adapted to the 4th gen V8 as well! The only reason other Taco and FJ y pipes don't fit the 4th gen v8's are because of the electronic transfer case solenoid that sits behind the transfer case where most y pipes are routed. Then there's a length difference where the pipe meets up with catback spring bolt setup. Sounds like that'll be replaced for v-band anyway with this setup so a little length adjusting would be easy. Very nice looking pipes!

Looks like that loop hangs very low, maybe below that reinforcement?

Look at pic 3 then pic 6 as far as hanging down. The loop is above everything, it's the angle of the photo. Nothing is close anywhere. We made sure
    before we installed anything.

SO here's the $1000 question. Who has a video of this on a 5th gen so we can hear it?

I guess that would be me to do since I am the only one with it. I will make a video and post it soon. I also have the URD hi clearance 3" cat back exhaust with a magnaflow as the rest of my setup. It will be quiter with the stock exhaust.

Really all I'm looking to do is replace the restricting and low hanging OEM Y pipe along with the rear cats. I want to keep the stock cat back. I have yet to hear an aftermarket exhaust that actually sounded good besides Borla which sounds decent. V6 is not easy to make sound good, they usually just sound raspy and riceish

This is more of a sound mod? I wouldnt imagine it would add much performance?
