What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

They are RRW RR6-H 17x8.5 -12
285/75/17 Falken A/T4W
1.25" Spacers

No Rubbing after an aggressive BMC, Pinch weld mods and 3D printed rocker end caps. Edit* Forgot to mention the high clearance cut on the front bumper.

I was on the fence about going with the spacers but I like it. Its equivalent offset would be a 17x9 -38

I haven't flexed it out yet but if I can get away with it I'll keep the spacers on for the wide stance. Should look good with the future 80% rear bumper's side hoops as well.

 

Long Travel rear suspension is done. Installing a diff drop and making final ride height adjustments then alignment.

Picked up a set 17” take-offs for my Limited to be installed at a later date. Still need a cheap wheel for the spare.

Did you paint the existing one or order one in black?

 

Long travel Dobinsons kit and Apache rear links are installed.

Mine next to a buddies 4R with a 2.5” Elka lift and 275’s.

I have some skid plate clearancing to do and she’s ready to go. There is some contact between the driveshaft and the gas tank skid plate when flexed.
Should be an easy fix. Glad I was able to test it out and check for any issues before Toyota Jamboree next Saturday!

 

Installed my Greenlane rock sliders yesterday. I really appreciated the lightweight choice mounting them by myself. LOL

I ordered it in black from 4Runner Lifestyle.

 

Drove the Mrs to church for cleaning!

Switched out the stock wheels, installed Lasfit led's in the front and rear turn signals and the reverse lights, and Lasfit's interior led's everywhere.

 

I ordered the Cali Raised Led inside molle panels last Monday from 4Runner Lifestyle. They were delivered today and I just finished installing them. It took about 45 minutes total including watching the install video. Being an old Harley guy, I used loctite on the screws.

(Yeah, I know...I didn't tighten up the bolt on the right side.)

 

Yeah. CV angles were pretty wild, the boots wouldn’t have lasted long. The diff drop helped and luckily RCI skids and the Dobinsons diff drop play nicely together.

Theoretically this kit should provide an extra 5” of down travel compared to my old OME kit. I haven’t been able to lift a wheel yet. Should be able to at Jambo.

 

Thought this was appropriate so I added it...

 

Recent mods include , .25" top hat spacers(to level our the TRD fox suspension, 1.25" front Spider Trax wheel spacers, oem rock rails.

Im very happy with how my 4r looks, rides, and drives.

 

Now I’m curious… why would you need to lock your obd2 port?
