More folks need to walk away from these dealers. These vehicles are worth what we are willing to pay for them, if we walk away from the overpriced ones, the dealerships will have to reduce the prices or keep paying to keep them on the lot. Dealerships can complain about not making any money, but they are also saving in some areas, such as paying for vehicles sitting on the lots.

 

Yeah I don't like it when you try to trick me into making a quick sell. The guy was like you need to hurry up because someone is here getting their car appraised.....blah blah blah. In my head I'm like well good for them lol

Tell him he will owe you $1k bc there are lots of dealerships selling at MSRP, 3 in Va that I know of.

 

I had a dealer tell me I'd never find one. I got one 2 days later. I wish he had offered that bet.

 

Just bought LR TRD Pro from John Timmons at Four Stars Toyota in Altus, OK. Easy, did everything remotely. Add to the list of MSRP dealers. Was originally looking at AG ORP, but LR TRD Pro showed as being available, so nabbed it.

You may want to check with him about upcoming allocations.

I will let you know if we receive another one on the next allocation. These Green TRD Off Road 4Runners are hard to keep. People are calling from all over putting deposits on them since we do not charge over msrp and our doc fee is only 289. Give me a call if you have any questions.

So the dealer you put a deposit on that was gonna sell to you originally at MSRP changed the price on you? that’s sucks.

 

No this was another dealership. Currently I have a deposit on one that is at MSRP. I have just been looking around to see if I can snag one earlier. I've got another dealership that is going to call me if the deal falls through on one, he said the customer was 50/50 on buying it and I'll know about that one in February. I have another dealership that is keeping an eye out on their inventory, he emails me periodically to update me. Talking to people is one thing I enjoy doing so I contacted multiple dealerships and spoke with them and have multiple eyes watching out for one.

 

From what I've been reading, it doesn't appear that the situation is going to change much in 2022. Hope I'm wrong. Adding to the drama is that the 22' Model year is "supposed" to be the last of the 5th Generation, which just adds to the frustration of locating one.

 

I've been shopping Pros and it's already gotten noticeably better. You're not going to find them sitting on dealer lots, but with a bit of work and patience, they can be found.

 

Shelor Toyota in Christiansburg, VA adding a $4995 market adjustment "due to how hard these vehicles are to get." That is one dealership I refuse to deal with because they are dirty. So anyone in this area, stay away from them.

 

McGee in Epping, NH wants $5K over sticker on a TRD Off Road. I told them sure, as long as you give me $5K over KBB on my '19. For some reason I haven't heard back..

 

A heads up confirming that Salinas Toyota is MSRP on options and price, no silly add-ons at all, a CUDL dealer... stumbled on a TRD Premium in Barcelona Red... 90 minutes later sitting home in the drive. Truly a great experience.

This one was advertised at MSRP last time I looked. It might also be because of the color and spec. Lunar rock TRD Off Road.

 

Rock Hill Toyota doesn't sell to out-of-state buyers, just checked in with them today.

 

I just tried to buy an ORP from palm beach Toyota. They refused to sell it to me because I'm out of state. So if anyone wants a magnetic grey ORP hurry to palm beach lol. They have it on the lot. The original buyer backed out.

 

Grappone Toyota in Bow, NH was MSRP for my '22 Offroad Premium. Put down a $500 refundable deposit and they 'ordered' what I wanted. Great to deal with and would recommend them.

 

Valenti Toyota in Rhode Island is selling at MSRP, but only to people within the state.

Classic Toyota of Texoma in Denison TX. MSRP and I've purchased 10+ vehicles from them in the past. Most honest dealership ever IMO, if you're in the area call Brent and back the blue, great guy. They do a couple add-ons like tint but that's fine, their tint guy is really good so I don't mind the price.

They've had all 4x4 allocations to them already spoken for over the last 3 weeks that I've been checking. Just called me last night to say a Limited 4x4 was going to come in and gave me first dibs so I placed my refundable $500 deposit. Upgrading my wife's 2020 2X4 SR5 to a 2022 4x4 Limited. We wanted to look at a 2022 Lexus NX350 F-Sport at Plano TX Lexus and placed a deposit to go check it out but they sold it after our deposit. That's just as well, I'd rather have the reliable old NA Toyota anyways. My 5 year plan is to move north so the 4x4 is my upgrade to her and for her agreeing is getting the bells and whistles of the limited.

 

Just a heads up, Bobby Rahal Toyota does not sell to out-of-state buyers at the moment.

 

SR5 Premium for MSRP ($499 markup for tint and wheel locks) from Dolan Toyota in Reno, Nevada and they sold to out of state

 

I dislike dealer or should I say sales person who thinks they know it all. Ran across a few like this. I've never once had anyone say they'll bet me any sort of money, cause I would gladly take that bet. Toyota of the Desert in Cathedral City, Ca is the same. Sales person said I'll never be able to find a PRO at MSRP as even before this, no PRO was ever sold at MSRP. Sales person even asked me that if I'm so sure I can find one at MSRP, why am I shopping around! SMH...

I also posted a review on their yelp page to alert as many people as I can as not most will ever stumble upon this forum.
