I have the factory heated/ cooled seats. It seems when sitting in the seat with the fan on I can't hear the fan. But if I lean forward I can hear and feel the fans. But when I sit back I can hear or feel it. Is it normal?

Probably you are. Just covering up where the fans are so you can’t hear it. I can hear the all the time with the radio down.

Normal, and they aren’t actually cooled, they are just ventilated.

    Nope.

The ventilation actually works the opposite way, it’s suction. It works by pulling the heat away from you and blows it out the bottom of the seat.

Man, living in Vegas and dealing with the summers here, I wish I had ventilation in my seats.

Turn it on and hold a piece of paper up to the backrest, see if sucks it down and holds it or if it blows it away.

But all ventilated seats nowadays operate off section.

Mine doesn't seem to work very well while sitting. When I lift up I hear the fan. And when I lean forward I hear the fan. But sitting, and sitting back I don't hear it. And it's not very cool.

Does it use the air in the truck to cool? So say its warm is that all I'm expecting is warm air?

Not really trying to be funny, but then why does my wife still smell my farts while driving with the cooling on?

I believe someone said they confirmed the 4Runners actually do in fact push air out, which would still be very very surprising because nobody does that anymore, but the suction just pulls air through the seat and blows it out the bottom, still in the interior.

ventilated seats are awesome. try the AC on also pointing at your feet as it ventilates, it blows AC air through the ventilated seats. perfect for those 90 degree's + days.

There’s an activated charcoal filter option for that.

Non-Limited trims have to use Shreddies.

Checked today with a Kleenex. Air definitely blows out from the seat.

My last two F150's definitely blew air out. It was like a little tiny person blowing cool air on your swamp ass after riding motos
