With the crazy prices gouging going on right now and a lot of dealerships trying to take advantage of buyers with markups, let's list some dealerships that are not charging over msrp for their 4runners.

Let's include the name of the dealership, city and state. I figured this would make it easier for anyone in the market to purchase a new vehicle. Please post and confirm that they are selling at MSRP as of recently and have not started marking up their inventory.

This link and spreadsheets from tacomaworld.com user "_kmg_" pulls data from toyota.com's local inventory search:

    https://flatgithub.com/kissmygritts...&sha=e47a4eb5f61283979ad05372c75754f3d693bc36

You can download the excel spreadsheet and cross reference the dealer location number with this spreadsheet to find out where the vehicle is going.

Just looked locally for fun. It’s ridiculous. Example 1 - a 2018 TRDORP with 35k miles selling for $5000 more than I paid new for my 2019 TRDOR.

A white new 2021 TRDORP selling for $45k. Same dealership has two used 2019s, same car and color, both marked DOWN to $48k. That’s backwards!

Makes me extra glad I bought mine when I did.

I bought my 2020 SR5 Prem from Longo in Dec of 2019. Paid 41,800. Sticker I believe was around 44k. So crazy what these prices are right now. Makes me want to sell for TRDORP but wife wants 3rd row :ballchain:

Should we list the greedy scummy dealerships charging $5k, $10k and $15k and even $20k markups too? So people can stay away from them

toyota in Henderson Nevada. Called about a pro, then they listed the markup after discussing the price. 7k markup. Then I said no thanks, I’ll wait at the place I put the deposit down. Then they proceeded to tell me “it’s not msrp. They’ll add markup once it gets there” in an attempt to get me to buy one from them. Smh

Unfortunately that’s the game a lot of dealers want to play. Once things get back to normal they’ll wonder why they’re not getting referrals.

These markups are for the pro’s. However these same dealers are marking up the trail and trd models as well. Usually about $2k-$5k

I paid $2,000 above MSRP for a Lunar Rock Pro two weeks ago in Maryland. Several months ago, about half of the local dealers insisted upon only selling at MSRP for a Pro, but that has changed with the limited inventories and high demand for the LR Pro's in particular. Some of the dealers are $10,000 above MSRP for a Lunar Rock these days. About two months ago I was trying to purchase a MGM Pro and the three different dealerships were at MSRP, $1,000 above and $2,000 above.

Toyota of Torrance selling all 4runner trims with markups. They even bragged about it lol. Didn't get to see how much the markup was because I cut communication with them before they came back with a price.

I can also confirm Toyota of Riverside is trash. Always has been. They've been doing markups for years, way before any shortage. One time the sales manager was driving me to their extra storage facility to check out a car I was looking for, and he was texting and driving the whole way there. Couldn't stay in his lane, kept swerving from not paying attention to the road. Seriously what kind of manager behaves that way?

Would have to talk to them to confirm. Part of the problem is pretty much dealers list their 4runners at msrp on their website… when you inquire they hit you with the “market adjustment”.

I can't promise that won't happen with these guys, but based on personal experience they don't play a lot of games. They seem to honor the price they post on their website (and are very reluctant to deviate down). They typically offer pretty good discounts -- for example they still are showing discounts of about $3700 on many Highlanders -- and my impression is that they stick to them. I haven't seen bogus add-on packages like overpriced pinstripes and door edge guards on the lot. So I'd take their posted prices at face value. I think the much bigger risk is that someone else will have already put a deposit on the car by the time you get there.

Let's add Toyota of North Hollywood to the SoCal list if shame. They wanted $20k over msrp for an AG Pro last May with 500 miles on it.
