    Hi All,

My name is Drew, I am head of marketing and sales for upTOP Overland. I am a long time Toyota enthusiast, and TacomaWorld member. I wanted to join 4runners.com so I can better assist our 4Runner brethren better!

Myself, Micah and a few other very dedicated team members work very hard to make upTOP the absolute best it can be! We are based in Castle Rock, Colorado and have the rocky mountains to used and abuse our products to ensure they are the best they can be for you.

I drive a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road where pretty much only the engine, frame and cab remain 'stock' LOL.

Anybody running one of these? Thinking about the Bravo but like the Alpha's ability to mount BD LP series lights.

Drew, love the racks! It's on the list to eventually get one, being in Monument got to stay local! My one question for you, I see you have a lightbar cutout for a 38" ExtremeLED x6s. With a quick photoshop it looked like there MIGHT be room for a 44" ExtremeLED x6s cutout? Have you guys looked into this? It's not a big difference but when I do get a roof rack I'd like to get ALL THE LUMENS because why not?!

I went into @upTOPOverland a couple weeks ago and ordered a Bravo rack for my wife's new TRD Pro. Drew was helpful and helped me figured out the extra parts and pieces we would need to safely attach an Ultimate Rodcase to the roof for my wife's (4) fly rods. It will use some tent supports and cut down rails to raise the Rodcase above the rack.

I’ll let you know in about a month! But I’d venture to say yes….the height of the top of the uptop isn’t too far from factory rail height. I did sell the new Ultimate and ordered trexstle rod vault since it is the lowest height rack out there.

After much research and procrastination about "making a rack myself", I decided to purchase the Bravo roof rack for my 4Runner. The Sherpa Crestone was in strong contention, but the major factors in my decision were the following:

    - Ability to put 48" ply wood on top (50" width), compared to 47.5" (Ughh!!!) for Sherpa. Many other racks are less than 48", which doesn't make sense to me.
    - Bars sit flat on top of rack. I always strap to the top of rack, so want a nice flat platform up there for whatever I decide to put up there.
    - Looks, I liked the overall looks to this rack compared to the cookie cutter of most other modular racks. The front styling is cool, and I like the wider stance.
    - The potential for less wind noise due to the front fairing, we will see... I saw mixed reviews on this.
    - Price point was good for a modular rack system.

I look forward to it arriving and letting you all know how it goes.

I've had my rack for a little less than a month now and I am really liking it. I can confidently say that the wind noise from the rack is minimal, the engine noise is louder. Also, I never really opened my sunroof without the rack because it let in too much air. Now, the amount of air is diffused by the rack and it is just a gentle breeze that comes in, so I am liking that. Overall, I am very happy with the rack. The only issue I had was that the new rack does not hold the weather strips in place. I have had mine flopping around because the old rack used to sit on top and push them down (currently taped). I need to figure out a way to secure the weather strips better, I fear they will come off. Here is a picture of the installed rack; I really like the way it looks. Side benefit - it's much easier to access when you are sunk 1 foot in the sand.
