Yes, that's the plan. I have a C4 rear bumper on the way, a winch that needs a bumper and plan on skids.

23 front is typically accepted as the limit for decent CV heath, as a general rule. Rigs are different though, mine at 23 and the CV boot were angry. Some rigs boots look fine as 23. Bottom line is once you have your front end stuff installed, then evaluate.

Any chance the CV could not be seated properly? I tuck its highly unlikely but my buddy mentioned it.

Thanks, I think 300lbs of winch and armor should probly drop me an inch.

    Does 4WD work fine?

I doubt they are not seated properly.

I haven't used the 4wd since lifting. But I jacked both front tires off the ground, put it in 4hi -N and turned one tire. The other side rolled the opposite direction.

The 2.75" of lift on the Pro Truck lift is from the coil springs, with the spring perch on the lowest, not highest setting.

Have any of you done a diff drop on 2”-2.5” of lift? Debating whether or not I should.

I did the diff drop. It did help my cv angles a bit. Also the lift has settled a little.

Any update on measurements or ride quality? Just installed the 1“ rear springs and shocks and got about 2” out of them and waiting to install front 2.5”. Hoping not to get a hair over the 2.5”. Currently have 5100’s installed at top perch and am measuring 23”, was hoping to add dobinsons 2.5” at lowest 5100 setting for a max of 2.5”

My rear is still sitting at 25ish but the getting has dropped to just over 23. I havent added the weight of bumpers yet. The ride has gotten a bit softer on the road but It's still a bit stiff on the trails.

I’ve got a similar problem. I’ve got a bone stock 2014 Limited that I just installed C59-314 springs and C59-574 shocks up front with C59-505 and C59-705 in the rear.

I ordered from Dobinsons Direct. They told me that this was the setup I wanted with no aftermarket bumpers to get 3.5” in the front and 1.5” in the rear. What I ended up with is just over 4.5” of lift in the front and 2” in the rear.

    Currently running stock UCAs.

I’m starting to think that this is a common problem with Dobinsons systems. Anybody have any experience with getting parts returned or replaced with Dobinsons direct?

(BTW, 4.5-5” of lift without doing an alignment yet and on stock arms is terrifying to drive .)

If you really want 3.5 up front you"ll need UCAs. Do you have the weight up front yet? I'm still sitting so high because I haven't installed my bumpers yet.

I want new UCAs but my budget doesn’t and I know people that have gotten 3* of caster at that height with stock arms so took the gamble. May have lost on that one.

I’ve got stock bumpers and I plan on it staying that way for years. It didn’t make sense to me to order the medium weight springs but I decided to listen to the salesman. :/

I had the 2.5” coils installed with bilsteins at lowest setting in the front last Friday. I probably ended up with 2-2.25” lift out of them. With the bilsteins at the highest setting and stock coils I was about .5” taller. The back I installed the 1” coils and shocks and have gotten about 1.5” out of them. Have right about an inch of rake, which is fine, but had hoped to be a little closer to level as this was what was recommended for level. My alignment seems to be worse now with only 2.7 degrees of caster on the front right side and only about 2” lift. A little disappointed to lose height and caster, but may take it to the Toyota dealer to see if they can do better on alignment. 3.5” lift with 3 degrees caster and stock UCA’s seems like a reach. I may go with some different UCA’s to see if I can get better caster numbers.

I still haven't had an alignment done yet. I'm waiting till I add some wheel spacers and replace a tie rod end. I am usually not a fan of spacers but after the lift my track is a little narrow for my liking.

Check you lower front spring perches. Sometimes those get flipped upside down accidentally on installation, which results in more lift height than anticipated. If you don't know the proper orientation of those in the first place, post a picture of your lower spring perch as it is right now and we can help out. Hopefully that's the issue since it's a (relatively) easy fix.

the reason you And the OPie have too much lift was your choice of Strut. Dobinsons 574 Long Travel Strut adds about an inch of lift because of the spring seat as compared to their standard 700 series strut.

You need a 302 coil with a 574 front strut to net out 2.75-3 inches on the front, stock weight.

with the 314, you’ve got a 3inch coil at stock weight and then an additional inch due to the strut spring seat, so 4inches of lift after it settles.

CrikeyMike used to work for Dobinson direct and now runs Exit Offroad selling Dobinson. Very helpful. On another forum.

Thanks, I did get in touch with Mike on Tacomaworld when I first did my install. He confirmed that once I settled and added my additional weight up front I'd be good. I'm about to pull the trigger on my front bumper, then I'll just be missing the skids to put me almost 300# up front.
