I know that this has probably been answered 472 times, but here goes. I will be putting the matte black TRD Pro wheels on my 2020 4R next week, and I want to go with black lug nuts. I have read that they are flat seat, but I have not found much info beyond that.

    Will these fit?:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/24-OEM-FAC...YOTA-4RUNNER-TACOMA-6X5-5-WHEELS/132158336972

Are there better ones out there? Does anyone have a link to share?

    Thanks!

I have the pro wheels just like everyone else these days and I kept my stock lug nuts. It actually adds a little contrast and looks great. In the past I have done the black wheel, black lug and it was just black. A little contrast goes a long way, I would save your cash.

Thank you. I am still trying to decide. I have my whole truck blacked out, and I am not sure about keeping the chrome lug nuts.

I’m using the stock chrome ones from my limited wheels. They are a bit long, but they work. I hope to get black lugs some day, but chrome does not look bad.

It’s all subjective. I personally can’t stand anything chrome on modern vehicles (classic cars are fine with chrome) so I tried my best to do a chrome delete on my rig. I personally love the black on black (“murdered out” as some people call it) theme. Some would say it needs contrast, but I think it’s fine just the way it is.

As for the OP’s question, yes the TRD PRO wheels do require a mag seat type of lug nut and those eBay 12MM x 1.5 should work. 09124414-BBCB-4E66-BAAE-3CD2CB8F9C54.jpg4F70C611-6AC2-49E2-AF8F-4117334DFB9E.jpg

Any thoughts on removing the lugs and using some high quality spray paint to get them matte? Anyone try this I was thinking about it. If so what spray paint did you use?

A while back I was searching for the black OEM lug nuts but couldn’t wait and just went with Gorilla.

I’ve had them on my Tundra and was pleased with their quality and the black finish held up over time and use so I just went with them again.

Could be that McGeorgeToyota has the right part number but the wrong picture posted?

I’ve ordered from BAM Wholesale a few times and they are legit and usually have the best prices shipped.

use coupon code: MINUS20 for 20% off their shipping cost

I canceled the order bro and I contacted McGeorge they told me they don’t have any blacked out Lugs that will fit trd pro wheels. I orderEd the eBay ones from up top. I also spoke to my service guy at the dealership he said he can get them but they would be aftermarket and not Toyota parts. Hope this helps.

After looking at different options and finding the aftermarket options less than desirable (many reviews talking about them fading and rusting quickly etc.) and the OEM lugs expensive I ordered lugcaps from Colorlugs.com for $25.99. They will include a different size for each wheel if you have wheel locks and an "extractor" to pull the caps off for tire changes etc. I've had them on my 4Runner for several months and have had no issues. I've been offroad, through car washes, upstate winter, etc. and they're still there looking good. Something to consider!

The white marks are light reflections, not problems with the powder coat. I'm impressed so far with the finish.

A few measurements and a couple of pics. The black ones are shorter than the OEM silver ones, which is no surprise since Toyota just takes the chrome lugs off the factory base wheels and sticks them on the TRD wheels. Overall length of black is 37mm, with 34mm of thread engagement. OEM is 47mm long overall with 46mm of thread engagement. The wheel stud from flange to tip is 24mm, so there is obviously more than enough room with the new black ones.

As you can see the black ones are tucked into the wheel rather than sticking out like the OEM ones. I'm going to like this look a whole lot more. I'll post some before/after when I can - it's raining here now.
