2018 4Runner Limited Head Unit CarPlay conversion

I am looking to convert my head unit to a CarPlay system. Which one is the best?

 

I think you can use one from the 2021 4runner and up.

Took less than an hour to install and couldn't be happier. Slight improvement in sound from stock speakers but the Carplay has been awesome.

 

You can do that on all other trims. The JBL with separate amp makes it insanely expensive to use Entune 3.0. You need a whole new amp as well as the head unit and then also need a transplant harness that is well above the normal $250

BTW it doesn't block my air vents either. It's great for wireless android auto or carplay

Just under $700 with the gear required to keep all the factory buttons working.
