    Welcome from Idaho!

Seat Covers - Consider the Covercraft Carhartt Seat Covers in Gray:
    https://www.covercraft.com/product/carhartt-precisionfit-custom-seat-covers/CGT-GTCA

We have them for both front and rear seats. Also have them for my F350. They are durable but a bitch to install on the front seats. We have a full cover dog hammock seat cover for our Aussie.

One of the other things we did was to replace the side mirrors with Spotter Mirrors:
    https://spottermirror.com/p/toyota/2016-2022-tacoma-with-bsm/

Disliked having the round fish eye style of the stick on blind spot mirrors.

    Enjoy your ride!

I’ve got a black set of canvasback cargo covers sliding tray edition if interested! I have a golden too, and the hair comes right off with a vacuum

I would apply a good coat of wax right away (I use Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic.)

I bought a full 2nd row bench seat and cargo area setup from Canvasback and the product is fantastic. It cost a lot but it is a custom fit, very well made and has already been put to the test in real world situations. I am having a hard time seeing a scenario where it would be damaged or my actual factory interior get damaged since the coverage is literally 100%. The only disadvantage is you must be very exacting when you first install it. The velcro is very strong and the factory carpet is not. Mind you, this is for a Lexus GX460 but every 4Runner owner I have spoken with says the same thing. I do not know how they would hold up to dogs.

I am using a combo of Woolwax (for the exterior of the frame) and Fluid Film (for the inside of the frame.) Woolwax is a touch more resistant to wash off hence why it gets the outside and fluid film spreads more easily hence the inside. No need to mess with it now. Do it in the Fall.

I think a cat shield is a waste of money (IMHO.) Anything you can put on can be cut off with ease by a pro...or with more difficulty by a motivated amateur. You will only discourage the criminal that was born yesterday. Here in the KC metro, there are hit crews that are well organized, very efficient and would blow through a cat shield like butter. Maybe Colorado is different.

Most importantly, enjoy your ride. Lord knows when you'll be buying another new vehicle. Make the feeling last.

Congratulations on your new ride. It is a a great vehicle. Please keep an eye on your garnish badge on the rear the first 1,000 miles. A common problem is pinching the paint and rusting. See the sticky in the main thread. Just want to give you heads up to prevent it. Seems to be a common issue. Sorry not trying to be a buzzkill for you just want to educate folks

I installed Cat Clamps. Good luck getting my Cats without taking the whole truck...

Jeez, that's going the extra mile and probably would work...although here in KC, they probably would just take the truck, lol.

Nothing can prevent the entire truck from being taken. Well... short of the method that James Bond had on the Lotus Esprit in "For Your Eyes Only."

What did they cut them with? Obviously nothing will keep the uber determined thief from getting his target.

I still like what I have better than shields that cut just as easily. Plus, Cat Clamp warranties their product against theft. I am not aware of any skid shield that offers that kind of warranty.

20240419_190321 (1).jpg welcome! I remember (just over a month ago when I bought my 2023 sr5) when I said I was going to wait to buy new tires until I wore them down. I just bought toyo Open country at3's and love them...Makes truck look so much better.

For seat covers, I had a set of Rough Country neoprene ones in a Gladiator I used to have, fit well and looked pretty good.

One inexpensive thing you could add is an oil catch can. All in I was around $35, got the can off Amazon, and some rubber tubing with clamps from the hardware store. It definitely works because it will collect blowby from the engine.

Too poor to buy anything now
Speaking about the cat shields, that grinder could knock the bolt heads off of any cat shield just as quick. But, any deterrent might make the thieves move on to another vehicle.

    Welcome from Arizona!
Canvasback covers for the rear when the seats are folded down (which is most of the time) and Carhartt for the front seats.

1st on the list, you complain about nose dive and driver side lean. After that you can start dissing on the 6th Gen and anything Jeep or Bronco.

I love the 5 gen nose dive on breaks. It really cracks me up - so effing iconic. Like a old show and a perfect fit. Give me my 5th gen or give me death.

That place was called Lynx customs before. Thier workmanship was really good. I did few tint jobs there because they were the only 3M crystalline certified shop near me. My buddy did an awesome wrap job and some sound system upgrades on a GTi there. I stopped by to see few awesome 4runner wraps too. I guess the management have changed now? I didn't want to spend ton of money with 3M crystalline on my last tint job so went to tint my ride and did a ceramic tint.

When I did 3M crystalline one of my cars had 70% windshield and it was too dark for me at night. For my 4Runner I did 90%. That 3M crystalline tint really saved a big mess when the windshield broke hitting a rock on i25. It hold the glass pieces like a champ.

It won't need replacement. I paid C$800 for mine, and had 3M applied to my 2003 Corvette and 2005 4Runner when they were new. Both are still good, although the 3M yellowed a bit, while Xpel does not - so they say.

Outside of cat shields, I wouldn’t do anything right now. Take your time, make a list of things you want to do. It’s really easy to get sucked into all the upgrades you can do. Enjoy it for now and spend some time here and make your list.
