I purchased the lower and upper Pro grill from Yota Expedition and I’m not happy with the fit on the lower portion. Can someone recommend me a site that makes one that fits better? I prefer one that the letters screw to the trim piece and I like the ones that have 4runner instead of Toyota.

I have the Cartrimhome version and the fit is kind of meh. I mean it fits, but it definitely isn't OEM. But then again it's a least half the price.

Same, but I'm probably the only one that notices the minor differences and I couldn't stomach paying $400 for a two foot oem piece of plastic.

While I agree the OE one is overpriced, you get what you pay for. This is why I simply blacked out all the chrome on mine.

What timing. Just yesterday, Tuesday, I installed the black Yota Expedition Pro grill on my 2022 SR5 Premium. I am happy with the results and the look.

I was very, very careful when installing that lower piece, taking great pain to make sure I had it centered left and right before pressing that adhesive tape “home.”

As you can see, I opted not to order or install the “TOYOTA” lettering on mine.

I did order and install the three amber colored raptor lights for the top grill. I haven’t wired the lights up to power yet.

I decided to order a factory looking switch and it’s relay to enable me to operate the raptor lights independently from a switch in the dash, which I will wire to an ignition fuse so the lights will not stay on when the ignition is switched off.

I’m sorry to see your grill piece is not quite fitting the way you like. I don’t know how strong that adhesive tape is, in case you were to try pulling the piece loose again.

If you do succeed in removing the piece intact, I’m sure new two-way tape will be needed to start over with, after first removing the original tape and any residue.

I don’t know what Yota X’s return policy is.

But I think ultimately, it is a case of first doing a test fit of the piece, prior to pulling the backing off the tape, and then being sure you have the piece centered before pressing it in to place once you have the backing off the tape.

Here’s a couple piccys of my Yota X Pro grill installed just yesterday, along with a tri-set of their raptor lights.

Let us know how you make out with this going forward.

Or you can do what I did and start searching for a used one. I ended up with the whole heritage grill for a little more than aftermarket options if I remember correctly. It did take a little while of looking though

I’m not complaining, they refunded my money for the lower portion and sent me another one. It was worse than the first one. I appreciate the comments and I’m having remorse for messing with it, I do like the Pro grill look .
